MMA Conditioning Level 1

Introduction

The MMA Conditioning Coach Level 1 Course provides successful attendees with a globally recognised award that helps Level 2 and Level 3 fitness professionals differentiate themselves from the competition with the latest contact-free and friendly Mixed Martial Arts fitness and conditioning program.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is certainly not a new concept, but its rise in popularity over recent years, mainly due to the publicity from organisations such as the UFC and Pride, has been unprecedented. In fact, MMA has become so popular, particularly with spectators and thanks to television exposure, that attendance at live events easily surpasses that of traditional boxing.
The competition sport of MMA is extremely challenging, both mentally and physically. It is also high-risk and participants in sparring classes can generally expect frequent injury. Numerous ‘MMA gyms’ have sprung up around the world, many hosting small groups of classes for a ‘hardcore’ few. One of the less talked about, but more successful bi-products of the growth of MMA, has been its fighters’ challenging, unique and highly effective conditioning programs.

This course will provide fitness professionals with the martial arts and conditioning grounding enabling them to train clients like UFC fighters, without actually preparing them for a UFC fight.

Whether you include this program in your one-to-one or class-based coaching, this course will provide you with a fun and challenging way to increase both yours and your clients’ muscular strength, endurance and cardiovascular health whilst also learning some basic skills and techniques from the following key martial disciplines:

Muay Thai Kickboxing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Greco-Roman Wrestling Judo
